Salmon bites with apple butter

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 3 rolls (wholemeal toasties)
  • 1 apple, red
  • 3 small gherkins
  • 30 g butter, with yogurt, soft
  • 60 g quark
  • 2 tsp lemon zest, grated
  • 2 tsp horseradish, grated
  • 1 pack of smoked salmon
  • salt and pepper
  • dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve the toasties and toast them. Cut a circle out of each half. Finely dice the apple and thinly slice the cucumber. Mix both ingredients with butter, quark, dill, salt, and pepper to form a paste. Spread the mixture on the toasties. Place the salmon loosely on top and sprinkle with lemon zest and horseradish. Garnish with dill sprigs.
