Bread casserole with minced meat and mozzarella

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 8 slices of white bread (white loaf)
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 8 tomatoes, dried, in oil
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 m.-sized eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 packs of mozzarella
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • n. B. garlic
  • Fat for the mold
  • Paprika powder
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Grease a medium baking dish and line the bottom with the crustless white bread. Place the minced meat in a bowl. Add the egg, mustard, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Finely chop the pickled tomatoes, onion, and garlic (optional) and stir them into the minced meat along with the tomato oil. Season to taste with paprika and cayenne pepper. Slice the mozzarella. Place the minced meat on the bread layer and cover with a layer of mozzarella. Then cover with another layer of bread and spread the remaining mozzarella on top. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the casserole for about 45 minutes.
