Tuna with zucchini – Sapodilla salad

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 tuna steaks (sushi quality)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp chili oil
  • 2 tsp cane sugar
  • 2 fruits , (Sapodila) *
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper, black from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Finely dice the zucchini. Peel, deseed, and finely dice the sapodilla. Crush the garlic cloves and warm them in a pan with the chili oil. Briefly fry the tuna on all sides to keep it raw on the inside. Remove the tuna and keep warm in the oven. Remove the garlic. Caramelize the brown sugar in the oil, deglaze with the lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Immediately pour this sauce over the zucchini and sapodilla cubes to marinate the salad. Arrange the salad, remove the tuna from the oven, and serve immediately. * Sapodilla is an exotic fruit from Thailand and has a similar flavor to a pear.
