Millet patties

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 160 g millet
  • 160 g quark
  • 4 tbsp oat flakes
  • 1 small carrot(s)
  • ½ onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • possibly curry powder
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the millet twice in hot water, then boil it in twice the amount of salted water. When the millet is soft, set the pot aside and let the mixture cool. Once the millet is cool, mix it with the curd cheese, oat flakes, grated carrot, finely chopped onion, and grated cheese (e.g., Gouda). Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, and curry powder, if desired. Then form small patties and fry them in a pan with oil until golden brown. You can then top them with cheese in the oven, if desired.
