Cherries in ginger and cinnamon syrup

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g cherry(s), pitted
  • 200 ml water
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 25 g ginger, fresh and peeled

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

nice accompaniment to a vanilla mousse or vanilla ice cream

Dissolve the two types of sugar in the water. Add the cinnamon stick and ginger to the sugar solution and bring everything together to a gentle boil until the syrup is reduced. Remove the cinnamon stick and ginger and add the pitted cherries to the ginger-cinnamon syrup, bring to a boil, and immediately pour into twist-off jars.
