- 3 tbsp oil, cold pressed
- 1 sprig(s) of thyme
- 1 sprig(s) marjoram
- ¼ bay leaf
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves, freshly chopped
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 30 minutes
Place the lentils in a pot and add the water. Also add the thyme, marjoram, and bay leaf. Soak everything overnight or for a few hours. Cover and cook in the microwave at 600 watts for about 10-12 minutes until al dente. Let it cook uncovered for a while after the cooking time. Then remove the spices and let the lentils cool. Wash, trim, and finely chop the onions and add them with the garlic. Deseed and finely dice the tomatoes and add them too. Tear the tuna apart with a fork and add it along with the cilantro. Mix everything together. Put the mustard in a separate bowl, add the spices, vinegar, and oil, and mix everything well. Then pour over the lentils and stir well. Season again to taste and serve immediately. Recommended side dish: a pilsner and a whole-grain roll.
