Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 10 plums, fresh, quartered
  • 200 ml red wine, light
  • 1 shot of cognac
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 pinch(s) of cinnamon powder or clove powder
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 tsp pudding powder (vanilla flavor) for cooking
  • some water to mix

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Can be used as a sauce for various desserts

Bring the red wine, cognac, and orange juice to a boil with the sugar and vanilla pod, then reduce slightly. Mix the custard powder with a little water and add to the boiling liquid. Remove the pan from the heat, remove the vanilla pod, and add the quartered plums and a pinch of cinnamon or cloves. Allow to cool.
