Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 10 plums, fresh, quartered
- 200 ml red wine, light
- 1 shot of cognac
- 100 ml orange juice
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- 1 pinch(s) of cinnamon powder or clove powder
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp pudding powder (vanilla flavor) for cooking
- some water to mix
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Can be used as a sauce for various desserts
Bring the red wine, cognac, and orange juice to a boil with the sugar and vanilla pod, then reduce slightly. Mix the custard powder with a little water and add to the boiling liquid. Remove the pan from the heat, remove the vanilla pod, and add the quartered plums and a pinch of cinnamon or cloves. Allow to cool.
