Rolls, perfect like from the bakery

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml water, lukewarm (approx. 45 °C)
  • 12 g salt
  • 42 g yeast

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

for 10 pieces

Knead all ingredients into a smooth dough, cover, and let rise for about 60 minutes. Knead again by hand, then shape into 10 rolls, each weighing about 80g, and roll into rounds. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise for about 20 minutes, then score. Preheat the oven to 230°C (fan). Since the rolls need steam when baking, place a cup of water in an ovenproof container at the bottom of the oven. Bake the rolls for about 12-15 minutes. They will rise again and become nice and plump. When they have the right color, remove them and place them on a wire rack, covered with a cloth, to cool.
