Piri Piri – chicken drumsticks

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, hazelnut-sized
  • 1 chili pepper(s), red
  • 8 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 5 sprigs of dill
  • 1 avocado(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Crush the garlic. Squeeze the lemon juice. Chop the ginger and chili pepper. Mix 6 tablespoons of oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, ginger, chili, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Toss the drumsticks with the marinade and let stand for about 30 minutes. Slice the cucumber. Season the vinegar with salt, pepper, and sugar. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of oil and mix with the cucumbers. Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet and roast in a hot oven (electric oven: 200°C/convection oven: 175°C) for about 35 minutes. Finely chop the dill. Peel the avocado and slice the flesh. Stir the dill and avocado into the cucumbers and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Serve everything and sprinkle with dill. Baguette is delicious with it.
