Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • ½ liter apple cider vinegar
  • ½ liter red wine
  • 400 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

(tested with plums and apples so far)

Bring everything to a boil and, once cooled, pour over the fruit layered in jars. Then simmer for 30 minutes at 90°C. For flavoring, the following additions are possible (amount per 1-liter jar): a) 1 star anise + 1 cm cinnamon stick + 3 allspice berries b) 1 star anise + 2 cm fresh ginger root, thinly sliced ​​c) 2 cm fresh ginger root + half an organic lemon, thinly sliced ​​d) three-quarters of an organic lemon, thinly sliced
