Baked turkey steaks

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g onion(s)
  • 75 g cheese, grated (old Gouda)
  • 2 turkey steaks (150 grams each)
  • 150 g mushrooms, fresh (preferably brown)
  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onions and finely dice them. Brown them in butter. Preheat oven to 230 degrees Celsius (450 degrees Fahrenheit). Season the turkey steaks with salt and pepper and brown them in oil for 3 minutes on each side, then let them rest. In the meantime, puree the onions. Return them to the pot, add the cheese, crème fraîche, and mustard, and simmer briefly until the crème fraîche is well blended with the rest. Season with salt and pepper. Now place the meat in a greased, ovenproof dish. Arrange the sliced ​​mushrooms on top. Spread the onion/cheese mixture on top and bake everything for about 10 minutes. We always serve it with fresh baguette and salad.
