Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g wheat, finely ground
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh herbs (chives, basil, thyme, tarragon, chervil,..)
  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g cheese, grated
  • 150 ml buttermilk or sour milk

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cheese biscuits – but healthy, makes about 20 pieces

Preheat oven to 220°C. Combine flour with baking powder, salt, and herbs. Gradually add the fat, then stir in the cheese. Using a knife, work in enough buttermilk to form a smooth dough. Roll out on a floured surface to about 1 cm thick and cut out any desired shapes. Place on a baking sheet, brush with a little buttermilk, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
