Simple bratwurst salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bell pepper
  • 6 gherkins
  • ½ head of iceberg lettuce
  • ½ bunch chives
  • 3 sausages
  • 1 can of corn, alternatively 1 corn cob
  • 2 tbsp mustard, sweet
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 5 tbsp sunflower oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp fried onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash the bell peppers and dice them finely. Slice the cucumbers. Wash the iceberg lettuce and slice them into strips. Wash and dry the chives, then finely chop them. Place everything in a large salad bowl. For the dressing, combine the mustard and vinegar. Drizzle with the oil a little at a time and season with salt and pepper. Grill or fry the bratwurst and corn or corn on the cob. Cut the bratwurst into bite-sized pieces and add them to the salad along with the corn. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix well. Sprinkle the fried onions over the bratwurst salad.
