Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 oranges
  • possibly water if needed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or rapeseed oil
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • some sauce thickener

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the chicken breast fillets, dry them, and cut into strips. Peel one orange, cut them into smaller pieces, and remove the pips. Juice the other orange (add a little water to make 100 ml if necessary). Mix together the orange juice, sugar, mustard, sherry, ginger, and cinnamon. Brown the sliced ​​chicken fillets with the onions in a hot pan. Season well with salt and pepper. Deglaze with the orange juice mixture and thicken with a sauce thickener. Add the diced orange pieces and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Arrange on plates and serve. Serve with rice.
