Meatballs made from sausages

Peel and finely dice the onion. Wash the basil and shake dry. Pick off the leaves and finely chop the stalks. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Fry the onion until golden brown. Briefly fry the basil stalks. Add the tomatoes and chop them. Season generously with salt and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in another pan. Form the sausage meatballs, leaving the skin on, directly into the oil and fry for 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain off any excess fat. Add the tomato sauce and meatballs to the pan and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta well. Stir the basil leaves into the sauce. Serve with spaghetti and Parmesan.
