Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 lemon(s), untreated
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 8 carnations
  • 500 ml oil (sunflower oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 14 days; Total time approx. 14 days 20 minutes

Wash the two untreated lemons with hot water and dry them. Cut the lemons into thin slices. Place the bay leaves, cloves, and lemon slices in a tightly sealed container and pour over the sunflower oil. Seal the container tightly and let it steep in a dark place for 2 weeks. Then strain it through a sieve. It will keep for up to 6 months in a dark place. It pairs well with fish, salad dressing, or Asian cuisine.
