Berry jam with red wine

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g berries (red and black currants, strawberries, raspberries, jostaberries, cherries – everything the garden
  • 250 ml red wine, not too sweet
  • 500 g gelling sugar (1:2)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Clean the fruit, chop it slightly if necessary, and weigh it. Mix with the red wine, cinnamon (if desired), and gelling sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat while stirring, then simmer for at least 3 minutes. Stir continuously, then remove from the heat. Use a hand blender to puree the fruit until it reaches the desired consistency. Bring back to a boil briefly and immediately fill prepared jars to the brim, seal, turn over, and let stand on the lid for about 5 minutes. I got 6 jars out of the small twist-off jars.
