Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g sour cherries from the jar
- 4 tbsp cherry brandy, if desired
- 150 g chocolate (dark chocolate)
- 500 g quark
- ⅛ liter milk
- 100 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- n. B. Cherry(s)
- e.g. cream, whipped
- n. B. Chocolate shavings
- possibly pumpernickel, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Drain the cherries, drizzle with kirsch, and let it steep. Grate or grate the chocolate. Whisk the quark with milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until frothy. Layer the quark mixture, cherries, and chocolate alternately in glasses or a glass bowl and chill. Garnish with cherries, dollops of cream, and chocolate shavings. Tastes great even without kirsch (for kids). For a Westphalian quark dish, layer the quark mixture alternately with grated pumpernickel and sour cherries.
