Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 80 g fresh ginger
  • 30 g walnuts
  • 250 g sugar (brown rock candy)
  • 1 g vanilla pod(s), split
  • ⅛ liter apricot schnapps, 40%

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the ginger root and slice it thinly. Place it in a bulbous bottle with the walnuts and vanilla pod. Add the rock candy and pour the apricot brandy over it. Let the liqueur steep for about two weeks, shaking gently several times during the infusion. If you don’t want to filter the liqueur (because the ginger looks really beautiful with the nuts), it will keep for about three months. Filtered, it can be enjoyed for a while longer.
