Minced meat – cheese – croquettes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed, or beef, pork, lamb
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 50 g grated feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp rice, raw, ideal is broken rice
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp dill, fresh or dried
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 egg(s) , for the dough
  • 250 ml broth
  • 1 egg(s), for breading
  • 1 tbsp flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

In a bowl, mix all ingredients, except the egg and flour, until smooth. Scoop out the dough with a spoon and form into balls. Layer the croquettes side by side in a large pan and pour in the broth. Cook for about 20 minutes, until the water has evaporated. Let the croquettes cool on a plate. Place the beaten second egg and the flour on two separate plates. Dip the croquettes first in the egg, then in the flour, and fry in the deep fryer until crispy. Serve with a variety of salads.
