Chocolate cream with avocados and bananas

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 avocados, ripe, soft
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • some honey or agave juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

One of the tastiest and healthiest chocolate creams – a must-try!

Peel the bananas and avocados and remove the pits. Mash both with a fork or puree with an immersion blender for an even creamier consistency. Gradually add the cocoa powder to the mixture. A good amount is 4 heaped tablespoons, but you can adjust this to your taste. Use either agave juice or honey as the sweetener. Agave juice is a very healthy sweetener with a fairly neutral flavor. Depending on the mix, it is sometimes preferable to honey. After seasoning with cocoa powder and sweetening the cream, refrigerate it. The cream is best enjoyed chilled, but even better, slightly frozen. If you keep the cream in the freezer for a longer time, you can also eat it as ice cream. Tip: There are many variations of this delicious dessert. My favorite is a mint chocolate cream. I blended about 5 walnuts, 5 almonds, and two sprigs of mint into the base mixture. You can get many other ideas from chocolate bars. For example, I could also imagine orange or chili chocolate cream.
