Matchstick – Potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • e.g. fat for frying
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut into matchstick-sized sticks. Rinse in cold water, drain well. Then fry in hot fat (approx. 180°C) until golden brown, fluffing frequently with a fork. Drain from the fat, season lightly with salt, and serve immediately. A great accompaniment to grilled dishes, pan-fried dishes, or roast lamb. Note: “Rinse” means “soak” to wash out the potato starch.
