Leek & ham, gratinated

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 stalk(s) leeks
  • 12 slices of ham
  • 250 ml sauce (lemon butter sauce, homemade or ready-made product)
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • some butter for the mold
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Own creation

Trim the leeks, leaving as much of the green part on as possible, and then cut the stalks into equal-sized pieces. Cook the leeks in a pot with a little salted water for about 3 minutes. Drain the water and let the leeks cool slightly. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Butter a baking dish. Wrap each leek with a slice of ham and then place it in the baking dish. Pour the sauce over the rolls, sprinkle with cheese, and place it in the oven. When the cheese begins to brown, remove the dish from the oven and serve with fresh white bread.
