Salad dressing paprika sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 medium-sized bell pepper(s)
  • 1 small shallot(s), finely chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove(s), finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 small gherkins, (cornichons), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp chives, very finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash, trim, and deseed the bell peppers, and puree with a hand blender. Add the shallot, garlic, chives, and gherkins and mix well. Stir in the ketchup and mayonnaise. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. This sauce also tastes great with homemade mayonnaise (see database).
