Grilled bratwurst wraps

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 100 g bacon cubes
  • 350 g sauerkraut
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 8 wraps
  • 8 sausages, Franconian, coarse
  • 16 slices of bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Dice the onions and sauté them in a pan with the bacon cubes. Stir in the sauerkraut, season to taste, and set aside. Make a cream from the mustard, crème fraîche, and brown sugar and spread it evenly over the wraps. Then spread the sauerkraut evenly on each wrap. Remove the casings from the bratwurst and roll them in the wraps so nothing can fall out. Wrap each one in two slices of bacon. Place on the grill at approximately 180°C for 15 minutes. Serve with a mixed salad and a glass of beer.
