Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 5 eggs
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 250 ml oil
- 250 ml Baileys Irish Cream
- 125 g flour
- 125 g cornstarch
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 40 g powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Beat the eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar with a hand mixer fitted with a whisk on high speed for 1 minute until frothy. Stir in the oil and Baileys. Sift the flour with the cornstarch and baking powder, and stir in portions on medium speed. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 24 cm round cake pan. Immediately place the pan on the oven rack. Top/bottom heat: approx. 180°C (preheated), baking time: approx. 60 minutes. Let the cake stand in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar.
