Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

very fruity cake

Mix flour, quark, butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar into a firm dough and let it rest for a short while. Roll out the dough thinly, place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and press up the edges by about 1 cm. Place the pitted and halved plums close together on the dough, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and bake at a high heat (about 200°C) for about 30 minutes. Let cool before serving. Frozen plums are best, as they release more juice, forming a fruity jelly on the dough. Tip: I always roll out the dough directly on the baking paper.
