Autumn and winter breakfast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 apple
  • 2 apricot(s), dried
  • 2 figs, dried
  • 1 tsp raisins
  • 6 walnuts
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of allspice
  • 1 tsp. clove powder
  • 2 pinches of cocoa powder
  • 150 g natural yogurt, 3.5% fat
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp oat flakes
  • Milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

Finely chop the dried apricots and figs. Remove the skins from the walnuts and chop roughly. Peel and coarsely grate the apple, then place it in a bowl. Add the fruit, nuts, raisins, and spices; mix well. If the apple is very dry, add a little more apple or blackcurrant juice. It’s best to prepare this mixture the night before. This saves time in the morning and allows the fruit mixture to infuse nicely. You can also make a batch for about 2 days. Mix the oats, fruit mixture, natural yogurt, and warm or cold milk. Season to your desired sweetness with honey or maple syrup. The fruit mixture also tastes good with just natural yogurt, without the oats or milk.
