Walnut pudding à la Didi

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 packs of pudding powder, vanilla or cream flavor
  • 8 tbsp sugar
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 500 g walnuts, in the shell

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Crack the walnuts, roughly chop them, and toast them in a non-stick pan. Then generously remove any brown skins. Grind the walnuts and candied them in the pan with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Prepare the pudding according to the instructions. Mix in the candied walnuts and transfer to a glass bowl. Stir the pudding several times while it cools to prevent a skin from forming and the walnuts from sinking to the bottom.
