Spaghetti with bean and bacon sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250g spaghetti
  • 240 g beans, red, drained weight (400g can)
  • 150 g bacon, diced
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 300 ml tomato(s), pureed
  • Oil, for frying
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • basil
  • Parmesan, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Meanwhile, drain the beans. Finely dice the onion and garlic. Heat a little oil in a small saucepan. Add the onions and bacon bits and fry well. Add the red beans and garlic and continue to fry for a few minutes, stirring, then deglaze with the passata and simmer over low heat. Season with salt, pepper, and basil. Serve with the pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
