Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 200 g margarine
- 180 g sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder, also instant powder
- 250 g spelt flour
- 150 g almond(s), ground
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 jar sour cherries, drained
- possibly powdered sugar, for dusting
- Margarine, for the mold
- Breadcrumbs, for the mold

delicious cherry cake with spelt flour
Make a batter from all the ingredients except the sour cherries. Simply combine the ingredients in a bowl and then mix with a hand mixer. It’s best to briefly place the margarine in the microwave beforehand to soften it. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Lightly grease the baking pan with margarine and lightly coat it with breadcrumbs. Pour the batter evenly into the baking pan and then scatter the drained sour cherries on top. If you only let the sour cherries drain slightly and don’t shake the sieve, the cake will be moister. Now bake the cake in the oven for about 50-60 minutes. Let the finished cake cool before eating. You can decorate it with powdered sugar as a finishing touch.
