Spicy mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 7 large potatoes
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 ml cream
  • 30 g butter
  • ½ tsp marjoram
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 5 basil leaves
  • ½ tsp parsley
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Nutmeg, grated
  • 6 dashes of Tabasco
  • ½ tsp chili pepper(s), dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

spicy, hot and simply delicious

Boil the potatoes with their skins on, then peel and mash as usual. Add the milk, cream, and butter and mix well, if desired. Now add the remaining spices and reheat the mashed potatoes. Be careful with the chili; even half a teaspoon might be too much. We often serve this with buttered vegetables and fish sticks.
