Matjessalat with Radishes, Pineapple and Apple

The perfect matjessalat with radishes, pineapple and apple recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 Herring fillet
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 Apple
  • Pineapple
  • 2 tablespoon Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon Creme fraiche Cheese
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
  • Sugar
  1. Wash the matjes fillet thoroughly, pat dry and cut into thin strips.
  2. Peel the onions, wash the radishes in half and cut both into thin slices.
  3. Peel and chop the apple and pineapple and add everything to the matjes — mix well.
  4. Mix the creme fraiche, sour cream, balsamic vinegar and sugar well with salt and pepper to taste. Be careful with the salt, as the herring is already well seasoned
  5. Now pour everything over the salad, mix well and let everything sit well.
