Pasta with tomato sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 kg beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. Fresh herbs, e.g. basil, thyme, oregano
  • 500 g pasta, e.g. penne
  • some sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely dice the onion, garlic, and carrot. First, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent, then add the carrot and sauté for a few minutes. Season with salt. Cut the tomatoes into larger cubes, add them to the pot, and simmer for about 20 minutes over medium heat until a creamy sauce forms. Season again with salt, pepper, and a little sugar. Now add the chopped fresh herbs. Do not allow the mixture to boil any further; let it stand for about 3 minutes. Serve with the cooked pasta.
