Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g gingerbread with chocolate
  • 60 g candied orange peel
  • 60 g candied lemon
  • 125 g flour
  • 60 g almond(s), chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of cardamom
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 g honey, liquid
  • 60 ml vegetable oil
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 80 ml milk
  • 70 g sugar
  • 25 g honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g almond(s), peeled
  • 50 g candied fruits
  • 100 g butter, soft

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Chop the chocolate gingerbread, candied orange and candied lemon peel into small pieces and mix thoroughly with the flour, almonds, spices, baking powder, and baking soda. In a large bowl, lightly beat the egg, then stir in the honey, oil, sour cream, milk, and sugar. Add the flour mixture. Pour the batter into baking cups or a muffin tin and bake at 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven) for about 20-25 minutes. Let the muffins rest for 5 minutes. Decoration: Heat butter with honey and cinnamon and spread thickly on the muffins. Decorate the muffins with almonds in a star shape and place a candied fruit in the center.
