Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chickpeas
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 m.-large carrot(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 large can of tomatoes
  • 300 g leaf spinach (frozen)
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes

quickly prepared and very tasty

Soak the chickpeas overnight. Finely dice the onion, thinly slice the carrot, and lightly fry both in olive oil. Add the chickpeas and pour in the meat broth. Add the bay leaf and garlic (leave the clove whole) and simmer for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes, add the tomatoes and spinach leaves and simmer for another 20 minutes. Finally, season with salt and pepper.
