Chicken and carrot skewers

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 strips of chicken breast fillet(s) approx. 50 g each
  • 5 tbsp BBQ sauce (homemade)
  • 3 tbsp apple juice
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 4 wooden skewers, soaked

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 6 hours 25 minutes

Pat the chicken fillets dry. Mix apple juice with the BBQ sauce, add the meat, and let it marinate for 6 hours. Use a vegetable peeler to peel strips of carrot and blanch them briefly. Once the meat is marinated, thread one or two carrot strips onto the skewers and grill on all sides. It’s always quick to make, and the kids love it because it’s not too spicy.
