French Toast
The perfect french toast recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 Pc. Roll from the day before
- 300 ml Milk
- 2 Pc. Whisked eggs
- 3 tablespoon Sugar
- 1,5 Pc. Gray apple
- Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Raisins
- 1 Pc. Cranberries
- Flakes of butter
- Butter, for the mold
- Gray apples: Fresh from the tree are wonderfully suitable for baking. Unfortunately hardly available in stores. You can find them at almost every Obast farmer or now, at the farmers’ markets.
- Cut the rolls into cubes, pour the egg and milk (cold) over them. Let it short-draw, lift it through well.
- Peel the apples, cut out the stones, dice and sprinkle with lemon (otherwise they will turn brown).
- Mix in the cinnamon + sugar. Grease the shape, don’t skimp on it.
- Pour the mixture into the greased form, cover with flakes of butter. Bake for 1 hour at 160 ° C
