Tiramisu (Michael)

The perfect tiramisu (michael) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 6 piece Eggs separated
  • 500 g Mascarpone
  • 50 ml Amaretto
  • 30 piece Ladyfingers
  • 350 ml Espresso
  • 4 tbsp Cocoa powder
  1. Whip the sugar and egg yolk until light and creamy. Add the mascarpone and half of the amaretto and stir well.
  2. Beat the egg whites with a clean whisk or hand mixer until stiff and fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Pour the espresso together with the remaining amaretto and 1 teaspoon cocoa powder into a shallow bowl and stir well.
  4. Dip one sponge cake after the other briefly and line the bottom of a glass mold (round or square, approx. 20 cm in size) with it. Once the bottom of the mold is covered, pour half of the mascarpone mixture on top and smooth it out. Dust with half the amount of cocoa powder and spread another layer of ladyfingers dipped in espresso on top.
  5. Put another layer of mascarpone on top, smooth it out and dust with the rest of the cocoa powder. Chill for 4 hours before serving
