Filo Apple Quark Basket
The perfect filo apple quark basket recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 6 leaves Filo pastry
- 1 Egg
- 5 tablespoon Milk
- 200 g Quark
- 200 g Custard powder
- Sugar
- 2 Apples
- 1 tablespoon Sugar and cinnamon mixture
- 3 tablespoon Amaretto
- Grease a muffin tin, cut the filo sheets into four equal parts and place four of them overlapping in a muffin tin.
- Whisk some milk with the egg and use it to brush the filo leaves.
- Mix the quark with the milk, sugar and the custard powder.
- Wash and core the apples, cut into small cubes and mix with the sugar-cinnamon mixture and the amaretto.
- Now add the apple mixture to the quark, stir and pour into the filo baskets, placing a slice of apple on top.
- Now put it in the warm oven for 25-30 minutes – if the filo dough is too dark, cover it with aluminum foil.
- Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy with a cup of coffee; 🙂
