Preserving: Strawberry Jam with Large Pieces
The perfect preserving: strawberry jam with large pieces recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1,5 kg Fresh strawberries
- 1 Fresh lime
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 Preserving sugar 3: 1
- Wash and drain the strawberries. Then quarter to eighth, depending on the size.
- Wash the lime with hot water, then rub off the skin and squeeze it out. Add both together with the pepper to the strawberries.
- Add gelatinous sugar and let stand for 20-30 minutes so that the strawberries can juice.
- Then bring to the boil while stirring and let simmer for 3-5 minutes (follow the instructions on the packaging for the gelling sugar).
- Then fill the twist-off jars, close them tightly and turn them upside down for a few minutes.
- PS: I prefer jam in the mushy form, but my husband prefers it with pieces, so I always cook two different things.
