Preserving: Strawberry Jam with Large Pieces

The perfect preserving: strawberry jam with large pieces recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,5 kg Fresh strawberries
  • 1 Fresh lime
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 Preserving sugar 3: 1
  1. Wash and drain the strawberries. Then quarter to eighth, depending on the size.
  2. Wash the lime with hot water, then rub off the skin and squeeze it out. Add both together with the pepper to the strawberries.
  3. Add gelatinous sugar and let stand for 20-30 minutes so that the strawberries can juice.
  4. Then bring to the boil while stirring and let simmer for 3-5 minutes (follow the instructions on the packaging for the gelling sugar).
  5. Then fill the twist-off jars, close them tightly and turn them upside down for a few minutes.
  6. PS: I prefer jam in the mushy form, but my husband prefers it with pieces, so I always cook two different things.
