Yellow Lentils with Sausages

The perfect yellow lentils with sausages recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 80 g Chorizo ​​sausage
  • 1 Onion
  • 500 g Lentils yellow
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 pinch Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Ground caraway
  • 100 g Sausages / Bockwurst / Vienna sausages
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 l Vegetable broth
  1. Finely dice the sausage. Peel the onions and cut them into fine cubes. Sweat in the fat with the sausage cubes and the lentils. Stir in tomato paste, sauté briefly and fill up with the broth.
  2. Add the garlic powder with oregano, caraway seeds and paprika to the lentils. Cook over a medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the sausages towards the end of the cooking time and let them get hot. Season the lentils with salt, pepper and – if you like – vinegar.
