For approx. 16 pieces:

  • 3 Cocoa-Free caramel bars approx. 30 g each
  • 2 Apples, approx. 200 g each
  • 1 tbsp + 125 g Zucker
  • 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 250 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 5 Eggs size M
  • 350 g Wheat flour type 405 or 550
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 0,5 tsp Ground cardamom
  • 150 ml Milk

For the cast:

  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 3 tsp Lemon juice
  1. Chop the caramel bars. Peel and quarter the apples and remove the core. Cut the quarters into small cubes. Mix with 1 tbsp sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Mix the butter, 125 g sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer until creamy. Stir in eggs one at a time. Mix the flour, baking powder and cardamom well. Stir under the fat and egg mixture alternately with the milk. Stir in apples and caramel bars.
  3. Pour the dough into a greased bundt pan that has been dusted with flour. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C (convection: 150 ° C) for about 1 hour until golden brown. Take the cake out of the oven, place on a wire rack and let it rest for about 15 minutes, only then carefully turn it out of the tin and let it cool down.
  4. Mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice to a thick icing, brush the cake with it.
  5. Tip 5: Instead of icing, the cake can be sprinkled lightly with powdered sugar.
