For approx. 16 pieces:
- 3 Cocoa-Free caramel bars approx. 30 g each
- 2 Apples, approx. 200 g each
- 1 tbsp + 125 g Zucker
- 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 250 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 5 Eggs size M
- 350 g Wheat flour type 405 or 550
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 0,5 tsp Ground cardamom
- 150 ml Milk
For the cast:
- 200 g Powdered sugar
- 3 tsp Lemon juice
- Chop the caramel bars. Peel and quarter the apples and remove the core. Cut the quarters into small cubes. Mix with 1 tbsp sugar and cinnamon.
- Mix the butter, 125 g sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer until creamy. Stir in eggs one at a time. Mix the flour, baking powder and cardamom well. Stir under the fat and egg mixture alternately with the milk. Stir in apples and caramel bars.
- Pour the dough into a greased bundt pan that has been dusted with flour. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C (convection: 150 ° C) for about 1 hour until golden brown. Take the cake out of the oven, place on a wire rack and let it rest for about 15 minutes, only then carefully turn it out of the tin and let it cool down.
- Mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice to a thick icing, brush the cake with it.
- Tip 5: Instead of icing, the cake can be sprinkled lightly with powdered sugar.
