Kohlrabi Soup with Sesame Garnish

The perfect kohlrabi soup with sesame garnish recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Kohlrabi
  • 200 g Potato
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 750 ml Vegetable broth
  • 50 g Sour cream
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt, pepper, nutmeg
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 0,5 bunch Parsley
  • 2 tbsp Sesame
  1. Peel and dice the kohlrabi, potatoes and onion. Mix the vegetable stock. Sauté the onion in the hot oil for approx. 2 minutes, then add the kohlrabi and potatoes, sauté briefly and add the vegetable stock. Let everything simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Peel and finely chop ginger. Rinse the parsley, shake dry and finely chop the leaves. Roast the sesame seeds and mix with a pinch of salt, ginger and parsley.
  3. Stir in the sour cream, puree the soup and season with lemon juice and the spices. Pour soup into plates and serve sprinkled with the garnish.
