Weekend Cake

The perfect weekend cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 150 g Raisins
  • 0,0625 liter Rum
  • 150 g Soft butter
  • 1 piece Lemon peel
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Ground cinnamon
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 250 g Yogurt
  • 400 g Flour smooth
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 packet Vanilla flavored custard powder
  1. Mix the raisins with the rum and let it steep overnight. For the dough, mix the butter with icing sugar, lemon zest, salt and cinnamon with a hand mixer until foamy. Mix in eggs one by one. Briefly stir in the yoghurt. Mix flour with baking powder and pudding powder, sieve over it and fold in with the rum raisins with a wooden spoon. Pour the mixture into a greased, floured loaf pan 10x30cm. Bake the cake at 180 ° C for approx. 45 minutes and sprinkle with icing sugar.
