Baking: Quark Balls

- 125 g Quark lean
- 25 g Margarine
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Grated lemon peel
- 100 g Flour
- 25 g Breadcrumbs
- 0,5 tsp Baking powder
- Oil or frying fat
- Sugar or powdered sugar
- Knead all ingredients (except additional sugar) into a dough. Let this rest for about 15 minutes.
- Put the oil or fat in a large saucepan and heat it (approx. 140-150 ° C). If you want, you can also use a deep fryer.
- Using lightly floured hands, shape 12-15 small balls out of the dough. Fry these in the fat until golden brown.
- Take it out and also put kitchen paper to degrease.
- Sprinkle with sugar or powdered sugar while still warm.
