Baking: Quark Balls

  • 125 g Quark lean
  • 25 g Margarine
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Grated lemon peel
  • 100 g Flour
  • 25 g Breadcrumbs
  • 0,5 tsp Baking powder
  • Oil or frying fat
  • Sugar or powdered sugar
  1. Knead all ingredients (except additional sugar) into a dough. Let this rest for about 15 minutes.
  2. Put the oil or fat in a large saucepan and heat it (approx. 140-150 ° C). If you want, you can also use a deep fryer.
  3. Using lightly floured hands, shape 12-15 small balls out of the dough. Fry these in the fat until golden brown.
