Apple Rose

The perfect apple rose recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Vegan puff pastry roll
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • 1 Amaretto
  • Powdered sugar
  • 2 Apples
  1. Slice the apples into thin slices and cut them in half, creating “semicircles”.
  2. Marinate the apple slices with a little lemon juice and amaretto.
  3. In the meantime, first cut out 8 circles from the puff pastry with an egg cup and place them on the bottom of the muffin molds.
  4. Cut the remaining puff pastry into 8 narrow strips.
  5. Place the marinated apple slices on top of the dough strips, overlapping them a little, so that half of the peel and shell are a little way above the dough. Carefully roll up the strips of dough. This is how the rose shape is created.
  6. Place the roses in the muffin molds and bake in the oven at approx. 180 ° C for 20 minutes, until the puff pastry has risen well and the roses have “opened”.
  7. Sprinkle the roses with powdered sugar.
